Hi there! My name is Ryan Schmidt and I am an 18-year-old super passionate photographer and aspiring filmmaker based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

I discovered my interest in cameras early on when I was 10 years old. Growing up in Bonn, Germany, I would photograph the sunsets and happenings around town. I also started filming comedic skits.
I have always loved to create and share my art with the world. Starting at 9 years old I designed and created my own website, showcasing my ideas and vision. At my German high school, I won two competitions for my school by designing and building a website with content presenting the topic of the competition.

Moving to the United States at 13 years old my family and I had to completely start over and create a new life for ourselves. I turned the entire experience into a web series, documenting every step it took to leaving the country and moving into a new home.
Following the web series, I documented my experiences and all the differences I had noticed between Germany and America in YouTube Videos, accumulating over 800 subscribers and 200,000 views.

Later on, I found my love for concert photography by shooting a local rap concert of some of the high schoolers from my high school. At the end of the night, all I wanted was more. I reached out to as many artists as possible, which led to me photographing famous artists such as DaBaby and Lil Mosey. I even ended up working for a music magazine for which I covered even more concerts and interviewed musicians.

My dream is to be able to photograph as many people as possible, other creators,  artists, direct music videos, shoot concerts, music festivals, go on a world tour, and travel.
To show you how long I have been dedicated to this passion of mine I can tell you about how talented I am. When I was 3 years old I broke my Dad’s point-to-shoot camera AND the memory card inside it by only touching it once… and dropping it…
